Story of Ahoi Ashtami Vrat

Ahoi Ashtami Vrat Katha is related to the story of a mother and seven sons. According to the popular legend, the mother lost all her children within a year. This was due to an accidental sin. Earlier, she had unintentionally killed a lion cub in the forest while she was digging for soil. To get rid of the sin, she took Ahoi Ashtami Vrat and prayed to Goddess Ahoi Ashtami Bhagavati.

Goddess Hoi Mata is an incarnation of Goddess Parvati, who is believed to protect the offspring of all living beings. And by the blessings of the goddess she was able to get back all her children.
