Lord Padmanabha is one of popularly worshipped form of Lord Vishnu. Padmanabha literally mean one who has Padma (the lotus) in his Nabha (navel), which is the birthplace of Lord Brahma. Another literal meaning of Padmanabha is one whose navel is as beautiful as lotus flower.
Padmanabha is also one of the 24 Keshava Namas of Mahavishnu which are worshipped at the beginning of all Hindu Vedic pujas.
