Padmavathi Ammavari Temple Tiruchanur Tirupati

Padmavathi Temple in Tiruchanur is a Hindu temple located just 5 km from Tirupati in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Padmavathi or Alamelu or Alamelumanga, the divine consort of Sri Venkateshwara. The shrine is administered by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, is the most prominent shrine of Sri Padmavathi Ammavari.

Deities 

The temple enshrines Padmavathi facing towards east. The goddess is regarded as an incarnation of Lakshmi Devi. Sri Krishna Swamy Temple and Sri Sundararaja Swamy Temple are two sub-shrines located inside the temple complex. Sundararajaswamy Temple enshrines Lord Vishnu as Varadaraja Swamy along with his consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi. Devotees can also have darshan of Lord Suryanarayana, whose shrine is located opposite to Padmasarovaram Temple Tank. A popular belief is that Suryanarayana deity was installed by Lord Venkateswara himself.

Festivals 

Kartheeka Brahmotsavam (Karthika Festival) is the most important festival celebrated in the temple. Chakra Snanam will be held on the last day of the festival in Padmasarovaram Temple Tank - Panchami Theertham. It is believed that Goddess Padmavathi incarnated in the temple tank as golden padmam (Lotus flower) on Sukla Paksha Panchami day in this month.

Navarathri Festival (Dasara), Float festaival, Vasanthotsavam and Rathasapthami are other festivals celebrated.
