Bragatheeswarar Temple at Thanjavur is also known as Big Temple, Thanjavur. The Brihadeeswara temple is also known as Peruvudaiyaar Koil (Peruvudiayaar Temple). This Lord Shiva Temple is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Great Living Chola Temples". The temple was build by Raja Raja Chola in 11th century AD.
