Ganesh Temple in Nakhon Nayok Thailand is famous for the huge statue of Lord Ganesha. The big statue of Lord Ganesh is depicted in a reclining pose and is 15 meters wide and 9 meters high. The Hindu elephant headed God is portrayed with four hands, one holding the broken tusk and one with a lotus. A snake can be seen around Ganesha neck with its hooded head arched up on the stomach.

Ganesh is known in Thai as Phra Phikanet. Majority of the devotees visiting the temple are Thais and not Indians. Though Thailand has a predominantly Buddhist population, Lord Ganesha is also worshipped here with equal importance.

Ganesh Temple in Nakhon Nayok also features a Ganesh museum. The museum exhibits numerous statues of Ganesh in various forms. The place also has a beautiful garden for visitors to spend some good time with family.

Nakhon Nayok is one of the central provinces of Thailand and is situated around 2 to 3 hours drive from Bangkok.
