Narasimha Swamy Temple Bangalore Karnataka

Narasimha Swamy Temple in Bangalore is an ancient Lakshmi Narsimha temple located on Hosur Main Road in Karnataka, India. Also known as Sri Hari Vaikunta Kshetra, the temple is noted for enshrining the 400 year old “Narasimha Meru” which cannot be worshiped anywhere else in India. Narsimha Meru is a special hill shaped chakra created with all Beejakshra mantras inscribed in it. It is believed that offering poojas with Toor Dal to Narasimha meru will help to get rid of problems related to marriage, infertility, jobs, and finance. 

Temple Deities

Sri Hari Vaikunta Kshetra enshrines Lord Narasimha Swamy in a sitting posture between Ashta Lakshmis. The idols of Goddess Adi Lakshmi, Goddess Santhana Lakshmi, Goddess Aishwarya Lakshmi, Goddess Gaja Lakshmi, Dhana Lakshmi, Dhanya Lakshmi, Vijaya Lakshimi, and Goddess Veera Lakshmi can be seen surrounding Lord Narsimha. 

The temple features a 200 year old idol of Lord Hanuman, which is popularly known here as “Kambada Anjanayya”.

Important Sevas

Main Sevas include Panchmrutha Abhishaka, Thomala Seva, Thirupavadi, Sudarshana Narasimha Homa, Kalyanotsava Seva and Sathyanarayana Pooja.

Swathi Nakshatra is believed to be nakshatram on which Lord Vishnu took the Narasimha avatara. Hence on Swathi (Chothi) Nakshatra special poojas such as Sudarshana Narasimha Homa, Runa Vimochana Stotaropadesha, and Ratharohana are performed. 

Darshan Timings

Temple Timings are from 8.00 AM to 11.00 AM and 6.00 PM to 8.30 PM on all days except Tuesday.

Temple Timings on Tuesday are 6.30 AM to 12.00 PM and 6.00 PM to 9.00 PM.
