Madhwa Navami 2022 February 10

Madhwa Navami 2022 is celebrated on 10 February. Madhvanavami is an auspicious day associated with Madhvacharya, the great Indian philosopher who was the chief proponent of the Vaishnavism and Tattvavada "the philosophy of reality". The day falls on the 9th day of the Shukla Paksha in the Hindu month of Magha. Madhwanavami festival is celebrated with great importance in the ancient Sri Ananteshwara Temple in Udupi, Karnataka. Special rituals, pujas and chariot procession are held on this day.

Madhvacharya is also believed to be the third avatar of Vayu Deva. The other two avatars being Lord Hanuman and Bhima (Bhimasena). Madhwa Navami literally means Avatarasamapti Denotsavam of Sri Guru Madhwacharya. Vaishnava Brahmins are the followers of Madhva Acharya.

Madhvacharya Jayanti 2019, the birth anniversary of  Sri Madhva, is celebrated on 5 October 2022.
