Chaturmas Vrat 2024 dates and Significance

The period of Chaturmas is an extremely auspicious phase comprising of four months (usually from mid July to October) that is said to begin with Shayani Ekadashi and end with Prabodhini Ekadashi. This period which spans the month of monsoon, is said to be the time when Lord Vishnu is said to be asleep. The last day of the phase is when he finally wakes up from sleep. In 2024, Chaturmas Vrat begins on 17 July 2024 and ends on 12 November 2024.
