Nilakkal Mahadeva Temple is a famous Lord Shiva temple located at Nilakkal in Pathanamthitta district of Kerala, India.

The temple is an important halting place or idathavalam for the thousands of devotees visiting Sabarimala Ayyappan Temple. Located on the eastern side of Pattanamthitta, Nilakkal Shiva Temple is located amidst green forest and rubber plantations.
Nilakkal Sree Mahadeva Temple is enshrined here in two forms - Ugramoorthy or fierce form and Mangalapradayakan or the blessing form. A beautiful Nandi can be seen in the temple. Devotees make it a point to break coconuts in front of the Kannimoola Ganapathi – the main sub deity of the temple.
Temple Festivals
The main festival celebrated here is Maha Shivaratri that is held annually. The annual Thiruvutsavam is celebrated at a very grand style.
