Kunj Bihari Temple Jodhpur Rajasthan

Kunj Bihari Temple in Jodhpur is an important Hindu shrine in Rajashtan which is noted for its architectural beauty. The temple is a replica of the Ghanshyamji temple in Jodhpur. The shrine has been beautifully built using Makrana stone and Chhitor sandstone. Its entrance and top is built up of marvelous architecture. The temple is dedicated to Thakur Kunj Bihari Ji who is also known as Sri Nathji, and belongs to Rama Nandi Vaishnava sect of Hindus.

The entrance of the temple has a statue of Meera Bai, a great devotee of Sree Krishna. Just opposite to and facing Meera Bai devotees can see statue of Lord Krishna. To the right of the statue of Meera we can see statue of Saint Namdeo and left of Meera is Hanumanji's statue.

This imposing structure was constructed by Maharaja Vijay Singhiji in the memory of his son named Sher Singh, who died at a very young age. Mangla, Rajbhoga, Sanudhya and Shringar aartis, along with other rituals are performed here daily.

The temple is open from 06:00 am to 12:00 Noon and 07:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The temple is located near the Ghanta Ghar market of Jodhpur city and is well connected by road transport. One can easily reach here by buses or taxis. Kunj Bihari Temple is well connected through nearest Jodhpur Railway station to major cities railway stations like Delhi, Agra, Mumbai, etc. The temple can be reach through the nearest Jodhpur Airport, which is well connected with regular domestic flights to Delhi and Mumbai.
