The annual festival at Anakudy Thiruvamanapuram Vamana Temple is from 12th February 2023 to 19th February 2023. The 8 day long annual festival is in the Malayalam month of Kumbham and utsavam ends with aaratu on Thiruvonam day. This year Thiruonam day falls on 19 February 2023.
This temple is one of the famous temples in Trivandrum district. It is the only one Vamanamoorthy temple in south Kerala. Located on the banks of Vamanapuram, the temple is dedicated to Vamana, the fifth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. This is because of this temple this place got the name Vamanapuram. This temple was also known as Thevar Kovil.
Since the main deity is Lord Vamana, Onam is celebrated in a grand manner. Another important festival in the temple is the Dasavatharam Charthal held during 10 days of Onam.
