Shani Peyarchi (Shani Transit 2023) at Thirunallar Saneeswaran Temple in Pondicherry. Sri Saneeswara Bhagavan Anugraha Sthalam at Thirunallaru is located 24 km from Nagapattinam town and 90 km from Thanjavur. Thirunallar Temple is one of the most famous temples dedicated to Lord Saneeswaran (Saturn or Shani Graha). This year, Sani Peyarchi 2023 will occur on 20 December 2023 at 05.20 PM.

According to Vedic astrology, Lord Sri Saneeswara Bhagavan stays in each Rasi or Zodiac Sign for a period of two and a half years. After that, he moves on to the next sign in the Zodiac. This special occasion is celebrated as the "Sanipeyarchi Festival" at the revered shrine of Sri Saneeswara Bhagavan in Thirunallaru. 

The 2023 Sanipeyarchi Festival falls on the  Tamil month of Margazhi 04, Wednesday Subakiruthu Tamil Year (20 - 12 - 2023) evening at 5:20 PM. During this time Lord Sri Saneeswara Bhagavan (Lord Shani) will transit from Magaram rashi (Zodiac Sign Capricorn)  to Kumbham rashi (Aquarius).

Thirunallaru holds great significance as a Navagraha pilgrimage site, where Lord Sri Saneeswara Bhagavan, known as the "Navagraha Supremo" and "Anugraha Murthy," bestows blessings upon devotees with his hand positioned in "Abhaya Hastham." This divine presence brings good fortune and alleviates all afflictions of the devotees.
