Kavanad Sree Mahavishnu Temple, located at Mattathurkkunnu P.O., Kodakkara, is preparing to host its sacred annual festival in February 2026. Kodiyettam 

The festival rituals begin with the auspicious Kodiyettam (flag hoisting), marking the ceremonial commencement of celebrations. This sacred event symbolizes the divine invitation to devotees and the formal beginning of the festival period.

The evening begins with the chanting of the Vishnu Sahasranama, invoking the thousand names of Lord Vishnu. The day begins in the early hours with Nada Thurakkal, followed by Abhishekams and the Maha Ganapathi Homam. Sacred rituals such as Navakam, Panchagavyam, and Sree Bhoothabali uphold temple traditions.

The vibrant Ezhunnallippu accompanied by traditional melam ensembles is a major highlight, offering devotees a visually and spiritually captivating experience.
