Mannar Thrikkuratti Sree Mahadevar Temple is a prominent Shiva temple functioning under the Travancore Devaswom Board. The temple is located at Mannar, and the festival activities are coordinated by the Upadesaka Samithi (2024–2026) (ROC No: 27096/17/NS2). The temple stands as an important spiritual centre, preserving age-old Shaiva traditions and Kerala temple culture.

In February 2026 (Malayalam Era 1201), the temple will host its Mahotsavam along with the sacred Sahasrakalasabhishekam, one of the most auspicious rituals dedicated to Lord Mahadeva. This ritual involves the ceremonial abhishekam using one thousand sacred kalasams, symbolizing divine purification, prosperity, and universal well-being.

The festival period is enriched with a blend of devotional rituals and classical cultural performances, making it a spiritually elevating experience for devotees and art lovers alike. Special poojas, abhishekams, and offerings are conducted as per temple customs, drawing devotees from Mannar and nearby regions.

As part of the cultural celebrations, the temple will host major-set Kathakali performances, showcasing classical storytelling rooted in epics and puranic traditions. Classical music concerts, devotional bhajans, dance ballets, and Bharatanatyam performances add grace and devotion to the evenings.

Traditional temple art forms such as Ottan Thullal, Nangyarkoothu, and Panchavadyam Seva are major highlights of the Mahotsavam. These performances reflect Kerala’s rich artistic heritage and enhance the spiritual ambience of the temple premises. The festival also includes Bhakthi Gana Sudha programs, offering soulful devotional music that deeply resonates with devotees.

The Mahotsavam at Mannar Thrikkuratti Sree Mahadevar Temple is not only a religious observance but also a cultural celebration that brings together spirituality, art, and community participation. Devotees believe that attending the Sahasrakalasabhishekam and offering prayers during the festival bestows peace, health, and divine blessings.

Devotees and visitors are warmly invited to participate in the Mahotsavam & Sahasrakalasabhishekam 2026 at Mannar Thrikkuratti Sree Mahadevar Temple, to experience the divine grace of Lord Shiva and the timeless traditions of Kerala temples.
