As part of the Kumbha Bharani – Karthika Mahotsavam at the Chirakkara Bhagavathi Temple, a vibrant and visually striking ritual, the Nedumkuthira Eduppu, will be  the leadership of Kulathookonam Kara.

The sacred procession is scheduled for Tuesday, 24 February 2026 (Malayalam Era 1201, Kumbham 12), commencing at 5:00 PM from Kulathookonam Madankavu. This traditional event stands as one of the most anticipated highlights of the festival, attracting devotees and spectators alike.

Ritual Significance

Nedumkuthira Eduppu is a revered ceremonial offering deeply rooted in Kerala’s temple traditions. The ritual involves the grand presentation of elaborately decorated Nedumkuthira (tall ceremonial horse structures), symbolizing devotion, gratitude, and reverence to Goddess Bhagavathi.
