Mevada Pooram 2026 – Major Purakkattukavu Devi Temple Festival
The annual Mevada Pooram 2026 at Major Purakkattukavu Devi Temple under the administration of
Travancore Devaswom Board will be celebrated from March 22 to March 31, 2026 (Meenam 8 to 17, 1201 Malayalam Era) with great devotion and traditional rituals.
This grand temple festival is conducted in honor of Mevada Purakkattukavilamma, the divine mother believed to bless devotees with prosperity, health, and protection. Every year, hundreds of devotees participate in the Pooram celebrations, offering Talappoli, Vazhipadu, and sponsoring temple arts, elephants, and percussion performances.
The temple committee invites all devotees to actively participate and support the festival to make this year’s celebration more magnificent than previous years.
