Thodiyil Sree Bhadrakali Devi Temple Chithira Thirunal Mahotsavam 2026 – Nedungolam Festival Dates, Thrikalyanam, Arattu
The annual Chithira Thirunal Mahotsavam 2026 at Thodiyil Sree Bhadrakali Devi Temple will be celebrated with great devotion from March 28 to April 3, 2026 (Meenam 14 to Meenam 20, Malayalam Era 1201). The festival also marks the 4th re-consecration anniversary (Punarprathishta Varshikam) of the temple. The celebrations will be conducted under the guidance of Thantri Brahmasree Subrahmanya Thantri of Kammamcheri Madam and Melshanthi Subeesh Thantri, Cherthala, following traditional temple rituals and customs.

The festival will begin with the Kodimaram Ghoshayatra on March 27, 2026 at 6:00 PM, followed by Kodiyettu and special temple ceremonies. Each festival day will include Palliyunarthal, Abhishekam, Ganapathi Homam, Bhagavatha Parayanam, Kalasha Pooja, Annadanam, Deeparadhana, Seeveli, and night cultural programs. Traditional ritual arts such as Thottampattu, Kaikottikali, Rudra Natyam, Sopana Sangeetham, and Bhagavathi Seva will be performed during the festival days.
An important highlight of the festival is the Thrikalyanam ceremony on April 1, 2026 at 7:30 PM, which is conducted with great devotion by the temple priests and devotees. The festival also includes Chandrapongala, special poojas, and devotional offerings made by devotees from the region.
On the final day, April 3, 2026, a grand Thakidukazhcha procession will be conducted with decorated elephants, Panchavadyam, Chendamelam, Nadaswaram, floats, umbrellas, and Thalappoli by girls, proceeding through the temple routes and nearby temples before returning to the temple. 



The Chithira Thirunal Mahotsavam at Nedungolam is considered one of the important local temple festivals, attracting devotees from Paravur, Kollam, and nearby areas every year.
