Varavila Sree Bhadrakali Temple Prathishta Varshika Mahotsavam 2026
Varavila Sree Bhadrakali Temple is a well-known temple dedicated to Goddess Bhadrakali, located at Varavila P.O, Klappana in Kollam district. The temple is managed under registered trust number Q.222/11 and is famous for its traditional rituals, Thottampattu, Devi Bhagavatha Parayanam, and annual Mahotsavam celebrations.
The Prathishta Varshika Mahotsavam 2026 will be conducted from 15 March to 24 March 2026 (Meenam 1 to 10 – Malayalam Calendar 1201) with various tantric rituals, poojas, cultural programs, and devotional offerings. The festival is held with strict adherence to temple traditions under the guidance of Brahmasree Parameswaran Vinayakan Namboothiri (Vettikkottu Meppally Illam), with temple Shanthi Sri Suneesh S.
The festival begins with Kappukettu Vratham, Thottampattu, and Devi Bhagavatha Parayanam, followed by daily poojas, annadanam, devotional songs, and classical dance programs. Devotees gather in large numbers to participate in the rituals seeking blessings of Goddess Bhadrakali for protection, prosperity, and good health.
