Dhanteras 2023 November 10 - Dhantrayodashi Puja

Dhanteras or Dhan Teras is the first day of the five days Diwali Festival in North India. The day is also related to wealth and prosperity and hence considered to be an apt day for performing Lakshmi-Kuber Puja. In 2023, the date of Dhanteras Festival is 10th November, Friday.

Dhanteras

Also known as Dhantrayodashi or Dhanvantari Triodasi, Dhanteras festival is celebrated on the 13th lunar day of Krishna Paksha in the Ashwin month (October – November). The word “Dhan” literally means “wealth” and “Teras” means 13th day. Hindu God Dhanavantri Jayanti is also celebrated on the day of Dhanteras.

I think the correct way is: Dhan Triyodishi, symboising thereby shower of wealth from three directions barring south as the money is donated to South after last rite rituals not only in Sanathanis but even in Christianity and Islam... it's very very symbolic and not purely currency notes, gold, silver or diamond or property...
