Namakkal Anjaneyar Temple Tamil Nadu

Namakkal Anjaneyar Temple is a famous Lord Hanuman temple located in Namakkal district of Tamil Nadu, India. The temple is famous for the 18 feet tall statue of Hanuman or Anjaneynar made out of a single stone. The Anjaneyar statue graces the devotees with a Japamala in hand and a sword in the waist and stands under open sky. The temple is also noted for the shrine of Kudavarai Narasimhar. Lord Narasimha is depicted with four hands and sharp nails. The temple has a shrine of Sri Namagiri Thayar or Goddess Lakshmi.

The temple is open daily from 7.00 am to 1.00 pm and 4.30 pm. to 11.30 pm.

Temple Festivals

The main festival celebrated in the temple is the annual 15 days Varuda Urchavam festival during the month of Panguni (March – April). Vaigasi Visaagam, Aadi Pooram, Aavani Pouthira Urchavam (September), Narasimmar Jayanthi (September), Krishna Jayanthi, Navarathiri Urchavam (October), and Hanuman Jayanthi in Margali are other festivals celebrated.
