Aghora Shiva Temple Panthalayani Shivaratri Festival 2024 celebration. Preparations are underway to celebrate Shivaratri Mahotsav 2024 at Pantalayani Sri Aghora Shiva Temple. The festival days are from 2 March 2024 to 8 March 2024 in a grand manner. Sree Aghora Siva Temple is a historic Lord Shiva temple located near Koyilandy Railway Station in Kozhikode district of Kerala.

Pantalayani Aghora Shivkshetra Sannidhi will be the venue for spectacular spectacles of India's classical dance forms during the annual Maha Shivaratri Festival.
As the National Temple Dance Fest, leading dancers from different states of India come to get blessings of Pantalayani Mahadev by performing dance dances on the day of Mahashivratri. This is the 10th year in a row that the dance pooja is being staged in the temple.
Since ancient times, the classical dance forms of India have been considered a means of self-surrender to God through art. Natyashastra, the source of Indian dance forms, is considered the fifth Veda. Similar to the Natyanjali performed in great temples like Chidambaram, the dance festival is also conducted here.It is considered as the only temple dance festival in Kerala.
About Aghora Shiva Temple Panthalayani, Koyilandy
Aghora Shiva temples are rare in Kerala. It is the only Aghora Shiva Temple in North Kerala. The temple is blessed with the presense of the self-manifested Uma-Maheswaran (Shiva - Parvati). Upa Devatas worshipped here are Sree Krishna, Ganapathi, Dakshinamoorthy, Ayyappa and Nagas.
The temple management welcomes all devotees to visit Aghora Shiva Temple on the day of Shivaratri to watch and enjoy the dance moves of famous dancers.
