Famous Paintings of Raja Ravi Varma

Here is a list of the famous oil paintings of Raja Ravi Varma (also spelled Raja Ravi Verma). Raja Ravi Varma was born in Kilimanoor Palace, the erstwhile situated around 50 km away from Thiruvananthapuram on the MC Road (to Kottayam), Kerala. Raja Ravi Varma was the son of Ezhumavail Neelakanthan Bhattatiripad and Umayamba Thampuratti. Raja Ravi Varma is regarded as the greatest painters in the history of Indian art. Ravi Varma was awarded the first prize for paintings in the Vienna Art Exhibition in 1873.

  1. The real name of the painting "Damayanti Talking to a Swan" is Hamsa Damayanti. Also, Lady with lamp is not an actual work of Ravi varma. It's by S.L Haldenkar. Just FYI.
