Satyanarayan Puja is a monthly ritual dedicated to Lord Narayana. Sri Satyanarayan Pooja is usually performed on the Purnima or Pournami (full moon day). There is no special date to perform the pooja. However doing Satyanarayan Vrat on purnima is considered more auspicious.
Those planning to perform Satyanarayan Puja should observe the fast on puja day after taking bath in the morning. Devotees can break the fast in the evening after performing the pooja and taking Prasad.
