Each pillar of the mandapam is a monument of Dravidan sculpture and is beautifully sculptured. The Vasantha Mandapam at Meenakshi Temple is Madurai, also known as Pudhu Mandapam, is the place where the Spring festival is celebrated during the Tamil month of Vaikasi (April - May). The pillars of Vasantha Mandapam are beautifully decorated with images of Lord Shiva, Goddess Meenakshi, scenes from Meenakshi Thirukalyanam, and figures of ten of the Nayak Kings and their consorts.
