1. Kandhasamy Temple also known as Sundhara Kandhaswamy Kovil

The Kandhasamy Temple is 22 km from Salem on the way to Thiruchengode. It is one of the seven richest temples in the district. Temple Timings: 6 am to 8pm. 

2. Kumaragiri Murugan Temple

Kumaragiri Murugan Temple is a small temple dedicated to Lord Muruga located at Kumaragiri, on Udayapatti Bye pass Road 6 km from Salem city.

3. 1008 Lingam Shiva Temple

4. Kottai Mariamman Temple

Kottai Mariamman Temple was built during the periods of Chera kings, belongs to Cheranadu. The presiding deity of the temple is known as Mariamman. The temple is located at Fort.  Salem.

5. Kandhashramam, Udaiyapatti:

The temple is constructed by Swami Santhananda Saraswati Avadhoota Swamigal and located on northern end of the Jarugu hill on the banks of Kannimar Odai, 5km from Salem.

6. Oothumalai Sri Sathya Narayana Temple

The Oothumalai Sri Sathya Narayana Temple is located at Oothumalai, Seelanaikanpatti, 6 km from Salem. Sathyanarayana Siddhar Peedam Temple Timings : 6 am to 12noon & 2pm to 8 pm

7. Siddhar Temple:

Siddhar Temple is located in the village of Kanjamalai in Salem district. The temple is dedicated to the 18 Siddhars, believed to be ancient sages with supernatural powers and deep knowledge of yoga, meditation, and herbal medicine. 

8. Alagiri Perumal Temple  Temple:

Arulmigi Alagirinathar Temple popularly known as “Kottai Perumal Koil”  is a Perumal temple located in the town of Salem. 

9. Arulmigu Sugavanesuwarar Swamy Temple:

The Sugavaneshwarar Temple is dedicated to the Lord Shiva.  The significance of this temple is the lingam portion of the deity is a little slanting. Also, there is a small cut on the top of the lingam. The temple  is located in the central part of the city behind the old bus stand of the city. The temple is 12 kms from Salem Railway Station.
