Chiraykkal Sree Mahavishnu–Devi Temple Mahotsavam

The annual Mahotsavam (festival) of Chiraykkal Sree Mahavishnu–Devi Temple will be celebrated in 2026 from Thursday, March 26 (Meenam 12, 1201) to Wednesday, April 1 (Meenam 18, 1201). The festival begins with the ceremonial hoisting of the sacred flag (Thrikodi Ezhunnallippu) and concludes on the seventh day with traditional rituals performed in strict accordance with temple customs and Vedic practices.

According to spiritual belief, Lord Mahavishnu is both the Ananthamahatma and Paramatma, the supreme force capable of creation itself. For the welfare of devotees and the removal of suffering, the Lord is believed to have manifested in this sacred temple in a compassionate and accessible form. Devotees firmly believe that when the Supreme Being is present for the protection of humanity, there is no difficulty in granting relief from illness, sorrow, or hardship.
