Kannadipparamba Sree Vayathoor Kaliyar Temple is a sacred and ancient Shaiva shrine revered by devotees for its spiritual heritage and traditional temple rituals. The annual Oottu Utsavam is one of the most important festivals of the temple and is observed with deep devotion, Vedic rituals, and cultural programs.

Oottu Utsavam 2026
The Oottu Utsavam will be conducted from 2 February to 6 February 2026 (Makaram month) under the chief priesthood of Brahmasree Karumarathillath Vasudevan Namboothiripad, the Thanthri of the temple. The festival includes special poojas, offerings, and a variety of traditional art and devotional performances.

Daily Rituals and Offerings
From 5:30 AM onwards, the temple conducts Ganapathi Homam, Ushah Pooja, Navaka Pooja, Navakabhishekam, Ucha Pooja, and Sree Bhoothabali.
In the evenings from 5:30 PM, Kalavara Samarpanam and the chanting of Shiva Sahasranama are performed.
After Deeparadhana, rice offerings for Thiruvathazham and Athazha Pooja are accepted.

Maha Shivaratri Observance
On Sunday, 15 February 2026, the auspicious day of Maha Shivaratri, special poojas, Nama Japam, and Prasada distribution will be held at the temple. On this sacred day, devotees may offer ripe plantain bunches, jaggery, tender coconut, flowers, and sesame oil to Lord Shiva.

Offerings for Prasada Oottu can be made through the Temple Office, Mathru Samithi, or via Google Pay.
