Chirakkakode Sree Subrahmanya Swamy Temple Festival 2026 – Vishu Mahotsavam & Aarattu
This year’s festival includes Prathishta Dinam, Kodiyettam, Pallivetta, Vishu celebrations, Aarattu, Melam, and Annadanam.
Festival Schedule – April 2026
April 4, 2026 (Saturday) – Prathishta Dinam
The festival begins with the sacred Prathishta Dinam, marking the consecration day of the deity. Special poojas and rituals will be performed in the temple.
April 9, 2026 (Thursday) – Special Temple Rituals
On this day, special offerings and poojas will be conducted as part of the festival preparations.
April 14, 2026 (Tuesday) – Kodiyettam (Flag Hoisting)
Kodiyettam marks the official beginning of the temple festival. The ceremonial flag hoisting is performed in the presence of priests and devotees.
April 15, 2026 (Wednesday) – Pallivetta & Melam
Pallivetta ritual will be held along with traditional Melam led by Paramekkavu Abhishek and team, bringing a festive atmosphere to the temple.
April 15, 2026 – Vishu Celebration
Vishu, the Malayalam New Year, will be celebrated with special poojas and Vishu kani darshan for devotees.
April 16, 2026 (Thursday) – Aarattu
The festival concludes with Aarattu, the ceremonial holy bath of the deity, marking the end of the annual celebrations.
Annadanam on Vishu Day
On Vishu day, Annadanam (free food offering) will be provided to devotees.
Time: 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM
All devotees are welcome to participate and receive prasadam.
