The annual Kaliyoottu Paranettu Thookkam Mahotsavam 2026 at Moovottukonam Sree Bhadrakali Devi Temple will be celebrated from March 22 to April 5, 2026 with traditional rituals and grand temple ceremonies. The festival is organized by the Moovottukonam Sree Bhadrakali Devi Temple Trust and is one of the important Bhagavathi temple festivals in the region.

The festival rituals will begin with Kodimaram Kaappukettal on March 16, 2026 in the morning, marking the ceremonial preparation for the Mahotsavam. From the beginning of the festival days, special poojas, Devi rituals, temple processions, and traditional offerings will be conducted with strict adherence to temple customs.

The Mahotsavam is especially known for the sacred rituals of Kaliyoottu, Paranettu, and Thookkam, which are rare and powerful temple ceremonies performed in Bhadrakali temples of Kerala.
