Neyyattinkara Sree Krishnaswamy Temple Kudamattam & Panchari Melam Festival
Neyyattinkara Sree Krishnaswamy Temple is one of the important temples under the Travancore Devaswom Board, dedicated to Lord Krishna. The temple is located in Neyyattinkara, Thiruvananthapuram district, and is well known for its traditional festivals, melam performances, and temple rituals that attract devotees from different parts of South Kerala.
As part of the temple festival celebrations, Kudamattam and Panchari Melam will be conducted with great devotion and traditional grandeur. The event will take place on Tuesday at 9:00 PM, where a grand Panchari Melam will be performed by the famous melam artists’ group from South Kerala.
The Panchari Melam will be led by renowned percussion artists, representing one of the major traditional temple orchestra forms of Kerala. The performance is organized with the participation of Akhil Kadavoor and the South Kerala Melam Pramani Sangham, making the event a special attraction for temple art lovers and devotees.
Kudamattam, a colorful ritual display usually performed during temple festivals, adds to the festive atmosphere. The rhythmic beats of chenda, kombu, elathalam, and kuzhal create a powerful spiritual ambiance, making the celebration memorable for devotees and visitors.
The program is conducted under the guidance of the Temple Advisory Committee (2024–2026) of Neyyattinkara Sree Krishnaswamy Temple, ensuring that the event follows traditional customs and temple discipline.
