Parappookkavu Vela Pooram Mahotsavam 2026 will be celebrated with a variety of cultural programs and traditional performances at Parappookkavu Temple. The festival includes folk arts, classical dance performances, and temple cultural events organized by Parappookkavu Kshetra Kala Samithi and other cultural groups.

The celebrations will begin on March 23, 2026, Friday at 7:00 PM with a dance evening (Nritha Sandhya) presented by Haripriya Nritha Kalakshetra. The performance will feature classical dance items and devotional presentations led by Kalamandalam Sheena & team.

On March 25, 2026, the Parappookkavu Temple Kala Samithi will present Veeranatyam – Soul of Folk, a traditional folk performance showcasing the spirit of Kerala temple arts. This program highlights the cultural heritage connected with temple festivals.

On March 26, 2026, Thursday at 7:00 PM, various dance performances will be presented by different dance schools including Nakshatra Kalakshetra Pattikkara, Pranavam Kalakshetra Chiranellur, BS Dance Company, Ka Dance Company, Maril Nritha Kalakshetra Kaipparambu, and Prathilok Andapparambu. These programs will include classical, semi-classical, and folk dance items.

Another major attraction of the festival will be Panchamaddala Keli, which will be held on March 31, 2026, Tuesday at 9:00 PM, organized by Vakk Club Pappookkavu as part of their 20th program. Panchamaddala Keli is a traditional percussion performance that adds great energy to temple festivals.
