The Big Buddha of Thailand, also known as the Great Buddha of Thailand, is the tallest statue in Thailand and one among the top ten tallest statues in the world. This beautiful statue of Gautama Buddha, a spiritual teacher from the Indian subcontinent who founded the Buddhism, stands 92 meters (300 ft) high and is 63 meters (210 ft) wide.
Completed in 2008, the statue of Big Buddha of Thailand is located in the Wat Muang Monestary in Ang Thong province. The Great Buddha of Thailand statue is made of cement and is painted with gold. Big Buddha of Thailand is also known as Phra Buddha Maha Nawamin and Mahaminh Sakayamunee Visejchaicharn.
