Kempfort Shiva Temple Bangalore

Kempfort Shiva Temple in Bangalore is a famous Lord Shiva mandir located in Old Airport Road behind Total Mall in Karnataka. The temple was constructed by RMV foundation in 1995 on the auspicious day of Maha Shivaratri. The temple is also known as RVM Foundation Shiv Mandir.

The major attraction of the Shiva temple is the beautiful giant Shiva statue about 65.5 feet tall. The temple also has a huge 32 feet tall Lord Ganesha statue. Underneath the Shiva statue there is a path where devotees can watch a Shivaling made of ice and models of Shiva Lingas in various forms.

Temple Timings

Kempfort Shiva Temple is open to devotees for 24 hours a day. On Mondays there is Shiv Aarti every 2 hours. Mondays are celebrated as Somvaar Ka Tyohaar and special poojas and activities are organized.

    2. When you reach the mall, There is a Shivalinga and that is the entrance to the Shiva Temple.
    3. Vehicles are to be parked in the parking area of mall by Paying Rs.40/-.
    4. The walk from entrance to the shiva temple is that which something you will cherish for !! Don’t forget to read quotations on the walls !!
    5. There are two kinds of entry, General entry and special entry !!! General entry is FREE and special entry costs and you will be given priority !!
    6. Entrance and exit are at different places. It is advised to leave footwear in the vehicles only if you travelled in a vehicle. You can avail paid services for the same in the walk through passages.
    7. First you will come across 108 bowls, where you can put coins provided them by chanting OM NAMAH SHIVAYA.
    8. Next is the tieing of Thread to fulfil our desires. You will have to convey your wish and then tie the scared thread in the place provided.
    9. Big idol of Lord Ganesh does not fail to mesmerize you.
    10. Later, as an option you can walk through a special way where you can experience the divine places like Haridwar, amarnatha and other places. It costs Rs.40/- and is deserving. Descriptions of the place will be played in pre-recorded audio.
    11. Then again as an option you can walk through the passage where you can experience the special Shivalings. It costs around Rs.20/- and is deserving as well.
    12. Then the gigantic Lord Shiva will not let your eyes move to any other place.
    13. There is shivalinga and you can offer Milk Abhisheka to the same by paying some amount.
    14. There is a pond in front of lord Shiva, Deepa can be made flown in the same by purchasing it for some VARIABLE minimal cost.
    15. There is a Miracle spot as well, where you can pray for your wish and put the provided coin in the pond.
    16. Godess Parvathi and Lord Ganesh will welcome you when you go closer to Lord Shiva.
    17. Later there is one more shivalinga where you can offer pooja.
    18. There is place where you can light up the provided incense sticks for fulfilment of your wish. It will so fragmental.
    19. There is a Navagraha Mandir.
    20. The place is clean and neat.
    21. Bhajans will be take place occasionally and shiva mantras will be played continuously.
    22. When you walk through the exist passage, you can see a mini village fair. Shops will be there on both side of walk passage. Cloths, eatable, books, fancy items, Pooja Materials and what not !!!
