Madurai Chithirai Thiruvizha is one of the most important annual festivals celebrated at the famous Madurai Meenakshi Temple in Tamil Nadu, India.
The festival falls on the Tamil month of Chitirai and lasts for one full month – the first 15 days dedicated to Meenakshi and the next 15 days dedicated to Alagar.
