Mudikondan Kothandaramar Temple is a Hindu temple located in the Tiruvarur district of Tamil Nadu. The temple is glorified by Maharishi Valmiki and classified as one of the 108 Abhimana Kshethrams of the Vaishnavate tradition.
Temple Rituals:
The temple rituals are performed Four times a day: Kalasanthi at 8:00 a.m., Uchikalam at 12:00 p.m., Sayarakshai at 6:00 p.m., and Ardha Jamam at 8:00 p.m. Each ritual has three steps: alangaram (decoration), neivethanam (food offering) and deepa aradanai (waving of lamps) for both Ranganatha Perumal and Kothandarama swamy.
Main Temple Festivals
- Every month on the Punarvasu star day being the birth star of Lord Rama
- Every month on the Ekadesi Thidhi a special Tirumanjanam is performed for Ranganadha Perumal.
- Ramar processions will be happening on the 3rd Saturday in the month of Purattasi (September–October).
- Ranganathar Udaya Garuda seva is happening on the 3rd Saturday of Puratasi
- Sri Ramanavami – 10 day festival ends with Sitarama Kalyanam and procession.
- 10 days celebration for Vaikunta Ekadesi to Ranganatha Perumal and on the day of Vaikunta Ekadesi Aganda Vishnu Sahasranama Parayana for 24 hours held in the temple premises.
2. Kothandaramar Temple, Adambar
Kothandaramar Temple is a Hindu temple located in Adambar in Nannilam taluk in Tiruvarur district of Tamil Nadu. The temple is glorified by Maharishi Valmiki and classified as one of the 108 Abhimana Kshethrams of the Vaishnavate tradition. The presiding deity of the temple is known as Sri Kodhanda Ramar and other dieties are Sita, Lakshmanan and Hanuman.
3. Kothandaramar Temple, Paruthiyur
Kothandaramar Temple is a Hindu temple located in the village of Paruthiyur in Kudavasal taluk in Tiruvarur district of Tamil Nadu. The temple is glorified by Maharishi Valmiki and classified as one of the 108 Abhimana Kshethrams of the Vaishnavate tradition. The presiding deity of the temple is Varadarajar. The temple is locally known as Paruthiyur Rama Temple.
4. Kothandaramar Temple, Thillaivilagam
Kothandaramar Temple is a Hindu temple located in the village of Thillaivilagam in Thiruthiraipoondi taluk in Tiruvarur district of Tamil Nadu. The temple is glorified by Maharishi Valmiki and classified as one of the 108 Abhimana Kshethrams of the Vaishnavate tradition. Devotees can see the vain on lord Rama's feet and standing posture of Lord Hanuman with four feet height are specialities of this temple.
5. Sri Kodhanda Ramar Temple, Vaduvur
Kothandaramar Temple is a Hindu temple located in Vaduvur, Tiruvarur district of Tamil Nadu. The temple is glorified by Maharishi Valmiki and classified as one of the 108 Abhimana Kshethrams of the Vaishnavate tradition. This temple is called as the Dakshina Ayodhya. The presiding deity of Kodhanda Ramar Temple, is known as Kothandaramar. Major festival celebrated are Rama Navami, Garuda Seva and Ratha Yatra or Chariot festival.
