Rayaramangalam Bhagavathi Temple Pilikkode Pooram Mahotsavam 2026

Sree Rayaramangalam Bhagavathi Temple, located at Pilikkode in Kasaragod district, is celebrating the Prathishta Dinam and Pooram Mahotsavam 2026 with various temple rituals, poojas, cultural programs, and traditional performances. The festival season is conducted during February–March 2026, with the main Pooram celebrations taking place in March.

The festival day begins early in the morning with Usha Pooja at 7:00 AM, followed by Uchcha Pooja and Poopidikkal at 11:00 AM. These rituals are performed as offerings to Bhagavathi for prosperity, protection, and the welfare of devotees. Temple festivals at Rayaramangalam are known for their traditional style of worship and community participation.

In the afternoon at 2:00 PM, Akshara Slokam will be conducted by Sree Rayaramangalam Akshara Sloka Samithi. This is followed by Soundarya Lahari Parayanam at 5:00 PM, performed with the participation of Karivellur Sree Adi Muchilottu Bhagavathi Temple devotees. Devotional recitations like these are believed to bring spiritual strength and divine grace.

In the evening, special Vilakku Pooja and Sarvaiswarya Vilakku Pooja will be performed under the guidance of Bhagavatha Vachaspathi Subrahmanyan Namboothiri. After the evening rituals, Sandhyavela and Althara Melam will be held, followed by the traditional Thayambaka at 7:30 PM, which is one of the main attractions of the festival.

Later in the night, Athazha Pooja and Pathalamudra rituals will be conducted. After this, Pooramala, Poorakkali, and ceremonial performances will take place with the participation of temple artists, Marar team, and traditional performers. Devotional Bhajans by Plabanni Bhajans, Payyannur will also be part of the Pooram night programs, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere.

On the next day morning at 8:00 AM, there will be Ezhunnallathu from Karivellur Sree Muchilottu Bhagavathi Temple, which is one of the important parts of the Pooram Mahotsavam. Devotees from different places attend the procession to receive the blessings of Bhagavathi.

Rayaramangalam Pooram Mahotsavam is one of the important temple festivals in Kasaragod district, and participation in Vilakku Pooja, Pooram, and Ezhunnallathu is believed to bring prosperity, peace, and divine protection.
