About Hindu Devotional Blog

What is Hindu Devotional Blog

Hindu Devotional Blog (http://www.hindudevotionalblog.com/ earlier titled http://msabhiblog.blogspot.com/ ) is an online blog/website dedicated to Hinduism and to help people obtain the Lyrics of Hindu Sanskrit Stotras, Mantras, Slokas, and devotional Bhajan Songs. The blog will also feature Video Songs of Mantras, Stothrams, and Bhajan Songs, so that people can hear the songs while they chant the stotras or read the lyrics of stotras.

Hindu Devotional Blog will also feature articles about major Hindu Temples, Hindu Festivals, Hindu Rituals, Hindu religious places of visit (or Pilgrimage places) and pictures of Gods and Goddesses.

How it all Started?

Hindu Devotional Blog was started on May 04, 2008. My first post is a beautiful Lord Ganesha picture. As we always start any new things while paying respect to the remover of obstacles and the bestower of knowledge - our God Ganapathi.

My Inspiration behind Hindu Devotional Blog?

Since my younger days I’m interested in obtaining lyrics of my favourite songs. Sometimes it was really hard for me to get the correct lyrics of such great Stotras or Hindu Bhajans.

I intentionally haven’t started this Hindu Devotional Blog. According to me, Everything Happens For A Reason! And this is the main reason why the Blog URL was just http://msabhiblog.blogspot.com/ and not something like devotional-blog.blogspot.com or something like that. Later I registered this new domain http://www.hindudevotionalblog.com/ so that it will be easy for people to remember the domain and check back it at a later date.

This is the short story on how I started this Hindu religion and spirituality blog. One day I thought to start a blog and post a few stotras lyrics and pictures of Gods I have with me. I started it only for myself for my reference when I need it. However, to my surprise my pages were shown on Google Search and I have seen there are many people who are like me and in search of these divine Stotras and Mantras. So I thought to spend more time for this religious website and post as many Stotras and Slokas I can, together with Video Songs, so that people can hear the songs while they read the lyrics. This is because not everyone is aware of how to chant these Sanskrit mantras.

Whom do you consider you are grateful to create this Hindu Devotional Blog

First, I would like to thank the Almighty God who is always there showering blessings to me to build this Hindu Devotional Blog.

I am deeply indebted to my parents, especially my Mother for her moral support and encouragement for not only building this site but also throughout my life. I don't mind saying, without my Mother I won’t be anything in my life.

Main Signifiance of Hindu Devotional Blog

Hindu Devotional Blog website mainly features articles about famous Hindu pilgrimage centers, temple festivals, rituals, mantras, stotras and pictures of gods and goddesses. One of the main significance of Hindu Devotional Blog, as I believe, is that we post most stotras along with a video song.

Most of the powerful Hindu mantras are posted in many languages including Devanagari, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and English. This helps devotees to learn the mantras reading lyrics which hearing the videos.

My Guiding Light for This Site

I would like my convey my sincere gratitude to One Great Person, whom I consider my Guru – Mr. PR Ramachander. Ramachander Sir may not be aware that he have a disciple like me, but with a few visits to his website(s) I consider him as my Atmiya Guru. I’m sure his blessings are always with me which helped me to create such a blog.

About Sri PR Ramachander

Sri PR Ramachander is a Kerala Brahmin born in Chelakkara, Trichur District, Kerala. Now settled in Bangalore, Ramachander Sir is a retired Scientist, and was recognized by an institution in England as one of the Top Scientists of the millennium.

Ramachander Sir’s website Stothra Rathnas features more than 340 Sanskrit stotras with their English transliteration and translation. Mr Ramachander Sir is the first person (according to me) who have made such a great job by posting all of these great stotras in Internet and helped other people who are excitedly searching for lyrics of Sanskrit stotras.
