thank you so much for all the work you do for us on this blog. i have two questions today:
ReplyDelete1. i have seen several variants of this gayatri, always following the traditional format, but with different names in each line. sometimes you find mahadeva [or vagvisuddha, etc] in line one, rudramurta [etc] in line two, and siva or rudra in line three. do these variants represent fixed *regional* traditions in different parts of india? or is the format fluid enough that the devotee can vary them as s/he wishes, as long as s/he keeps to the metrical format?
2. can you supply the devanagari text for the entire gayatri? i have not been able to find it anywhere online. i am most interested in the exact orthography for 'tanno' and for the verb forms.
